Review : Pizza Vito

Hey lovelies!
How have you'll been?

I have become a workaholic, so sometimes I don’t get to eat for hours on the end. Sometimes I’m out from 7am to 11pm and get home and crash. Thus food goes in my tummy literally after 24 hours!
But on normal days, it’s like I’m unstoppable with the way I eat (haha, I’ve got a knack for tons of food!). Being a complete foodie, it isn’t easy for me to really stay without food for so long
L
I’ve been trying out new places everywhere around town. Though recently, I came across this one place in New Bombay itself.
New Bombay (aka Navi Mumbai) is where I live, and as I’ve mentioned, I travel to Mumbai everyday for college and work          .
The only reason I’m in Navi Mumbai is to sleep there at night, because my entire day goes in Mumbai with my club.

Its normal for one to explore around college and find new food hubs, but it was a boon when I found this one place in New Bombay.
Recently, after a 3 day hectic work run, I joined my friends for some lunch at this one place called “PizzaVito”. Since I was on an unpredictable time schedule that day, I reached about 45 minutes early. Though to my luck, another friend of mine too had arrived. He had already ordered something, and like the monkey I’ve always been, I pounced on his plate and finished whatever he had. It was a Pepperoni Pizza Roll
I surprisingly really liked it, and wanted more, but knowing such restaurants can be expensive, I felt it wasn’t worth it. We’re teenagers; saving pocket money is always a tragic task. My friend turned to me and said “want more? Its only 20 rupees”. I thought he’s bluffing, so I gave him the snobbish “No!”
Pepperoni cannot be so inexpensive and the restaurant looks really nice, so it simply cannot be!
He knew my doubt and showed the item on the menu.

I didn’t really order the food, and ate whatever they ordered for me (was a little moody and all). Though after a little photo session, I parcelled 3 Pepperoni Pizza Rolls (for mum, dad and my sis), and went home.
Mum doesn’t have pork, so I ate her roll. My sister is a very picky eater and she said she’d try the roll later (that’s her way of saying ‘I don’t want it’), but I forced her to, and she fell in love! She almost cried because she wanted more!
So last Friday night, my dad finally decided to try the rolls himself. Since we were short on time, we couldn’t have proper dinner at the restaurant and decided to parcel it.

Pizzavito has a lovely location. It’s on the corner of one of the “pub streets” near Palm Beach road of Belapur. The exterior catches your eye instantly during the night. With a few palm trees right outside on the driveway, it’s sure to attract you.

Review : The J Cafe.

Hey everyone! I know I'm a total b*tch, I don't even remember the last time I posted here, and apologies for the same :(

Here's an update:
College - I haven't attended a single lecture since August.
Personal life - OUT THE WINDOW! :( No time for friends or family (SORRY, I try)
Television - What is that thing?

Here's why:
What's hot? Say it loud, RCHR in the house! :')

The Rotaract Club of HR College- My life, my everything.
I spoke a little about RCHR in my previous post.
I hope you have heard of a rotaract club! If not, I really don't have a way of explaining it to you, so refer to here for more details :D
We do a lot of stuff everyday and it's home for me. My day is incomplete without my club. There's always some meeting to attend, some work to do, and I absolutely love working for the club. I am a lazy ass couch potato, and I haven't worked so much in my life compared to how much I've worked in the past 5 months! It's all I've got right now. I love working as long as it is for the club. Out of the round about 150 members in our year, only 15-17 members get "confirmed" in the first list. Being confirmed is getting a lapel pin. A lapel pin gives you the little "Rtr." in front of your name. That stands for "Rotaractor". And guess what? This is Rtr. Chandni Dialani right here :)
I was the 4th name on the first list, and it just means the world to me to know that!
It's the first time in around 3 years that I've actually been happy for once.
Unfortunate for me, I couldn't become a coordinator for the year, and I became real upset, but then again, the club is still my life, and nothing can take me back!

Finally in College!

Hey Readers and Bloggers!
I haven't been able to blog for a while because I was caught up with so much work, and as soon as I was done, my laptop and net decided to be pretty little princesses and just not work at all!
But here I am! I couldn't have taken the wait anymore! This is not a fashion-related post, just a random update on what is going on these days!

I just started college on the 11th of July, it has been about 4 weeks since and believe me on this, I haven't been happier than this.
Yes, I travel 4 hours a day. It takes me two hours to reach college from home and two more hours to return. I literally to another city every day! (Yes, Navi Mumbai is another city)
To be very honest, my college is worth it! It is so worth the traveling. I could have never wished for anything better (Touchwood).

I study in HR College of Commerce and Economics. All hail Sindhi Quota! I got in without an actual marksheet because of this quota! (on my predicted grades).

On my first day of college, we were given our divisions and I found out my class to have 80 students. (That's way less compared to the other classes with 140 or something).
That was new to me because I had only 2 other classmates in school, we were 3 in class.
But I wasn't really surprised because I know usual Junior colleges have over 100 students in class.
Well anyway, the first day was so much fun. New college, new people, new crowd - New Beginning!
It is just so funny that everyone goes all "Haaw" when I say I live in kharghar! Maybe 75% percent of them don't even know where kharghar is!
The first day was overall super! There were students from different clubs coming to class and promoting their clubs. The only club I was waiting for was RCHR (Rotaract Club of HR). It is my dream club! Read till the end to find out more!

Make up Tutorial : Smokey Glitter Eyes

This is one of my favourite eye makeup techniques. I always wear this when I sport a black dress! It looks pretty amazing with a nude lipstick!
I used to play with my mums makeup, so I started mixing two eyeshadow shades and came up with this! I hope you like it :)
Do let me know if you try it, I would love to see!
Here is how!

Things I have used.

  1. Lancome Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow [Pose (Metallic)] (copper)
  2. Lancome Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow [Statusque (Intense)] (black)
  3. A black liquid eyeliner
  4. L'oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Extra Black Mascara

Step One: In the first image, I have used Lancome Eye Shadow Pose (Metallic). It has a copper-ish shade to it. As you can see, I just filled the eye-lid. Make sure you fill it neatly, with abundant color.

Outfit Post : High-waist bottoms with Formals

This is my new thing! And I don't wanna miss out on sharing my new dressing technique, So here it is!
Pick up any high waist bottoms (shorts or jeans) and pair them with formals.
Here is how you do it.

  1. Wear a pair of  high waist bottoms.
  2. Put on a buttoned shirt (formals)
  3. Button the first 3-4 buttons

    4. As you can see in the picture above the two remaining ends, Tie them into a knot

Here's the look!

This also makes your waist look thinner with the tight knot.

A classy and fun outfit for a casual day!

Nail Art Tutorial : Flaming Hot Pink Nails

This design suits long nails only.

1- Paint your nails in a hot pink shade. While its still wet, sprinkle some glitter towards the tips (as shown)

2- Give it a coat of transparent nail paint so that the glitter is sealed and a smooth surface is achieved for further nail art.

4- I used black acrylic paint and a thin brush to create the designs as shown. Black nailart pen can also be used.

5- Using white nail polish and a dotting tool, draw random dots on the center of the quarter flower.

6- Finish with a top coat.

There you have your super sexy nails in the hottest of pink and most elegant of designs!

Nail Art Tutorial : Cute Cheetah Print

                                 Cute Cheetah Print

Nail Art Tutorial : Colorful Zebra Print

                                  Sassy Zebra Print

1-  Give a base coat with white nail paint.

2- Using the ombre nail art technique and pink, yellow and blue nail lacquers, create a gradient as shown above. You can actually use any light shades of your choice.

3- I used black acrylic paint and a thin brush to make the zebra stripes patiently.

4- Finally two top coats for protection, and done!

Nail Art Tutorial : Batman Nails

 BATMAN

1- This nail art involves splattering-the-paint technique, which is not as hard as it sounds. Cover all your nails except the thumb one with black nail paint. Take yellow acrylic paint (you can take yellow nail polish too, but it'll cause a lot of wastage) and go to your window or some outside area preferably 'coz things will get dirty! Make the consistency of the paint thin by mixing water. And using the brush, throw the paint on your nails or even paint them slightly to make random patterns. Make sure to cover your fingers with cello tape so the paint doesn't go all over your hands.

2- Paint the thumb's nail (or actually, any nail of your choice) in yellow paint. And make a black boundary around as shown in Picture 2 with a nail art pen or thin brush. Now, the main task is to make the Batman logo. One requires patience for it. Even I had to do twice to get it right. But if you're a true Batman fan, you'll keep trying until it seems legit.

3- Once all the nails have dried, put a generous amount of top coat to protect the paint.
Super cool Batman nails are ready! B)
A tribute to the end of Batman trilogy.

Nail Art Tutorial : Summer Ombre Nails

Summer Ombre Nails.

1- Using the ombre nail technique shown in the previous post, paint your nails similarly in orange and yellow, with a base coat of yellow nail polish.

2- Instead of using plain transparent nail polish, use a glittered transparent nail polish. Or if that's not available, then pour some dry color on it and then cover it with a top coat.

3- Then using a white nail art pen or thin brush dipped in white nail paint make pretty little flowers as shown above.

4- With an emerald colored nail art pen or thin brush/ toothpick dipped in such a paint, make small dots in the center of each flower. Or you can also stick green rhinestone using transparent nail polish as glue. Top coat is optional.

Beautiful, floral, summery nails are done!

Nail Art Tutorial : Ombre Nails

Ombre Nails.

1- Apply a base coat of white nail polish.

2-  Using white, light blue and blur nail polishes, create lines on the sponge (nearly the length of your nails) as shown in the First picture. Try blending the colors on the sponge itself. Be quick, dont let all the paint get soaked in.

3- Press the sponge on your nails while doing it. If the nail paints on the sponge dry up, add some more of it. One nail will need 2-3 coatings of these. Repeat the process on all nails.
4- Once its done, the surface will look rugged. So fir the final touch, apply a generous coat of transparent nail polish, and let it dry.

You can of course try different colors.

Nail Art Tutorial : Santa Claus Nails

Santa Claus is coming to town!

I did this last year during Christmas. May be you could try it this year. ;)

1- Paint the bottom half of your nails in red.

2- Give a transparent nail paint coat after that and let it completely dry. 'coz sometimes when you apply white nail paint over dark colors like this, it starts deviating from the 'pure' white it is and gives a tint of the background color (here, pink).

3- Take a white nail art pen or thin brush dipped in white nail paint and paint the beard and lower portion of Santa's cap carefully. Let the natural color of your nails be the skin of Santa.

4- Using black nail art pen, or very thin brush dipped in black nail paint, draw Santa's eyes.

5- Using a dotting tool or red nail art pen or thin brush or toothpick, draw a big red nose for your Santa Claus. Cover it with transparent nail paint and voila! Now even your nails will know that its Christmas time.

Nail Art Tutorial: Party Nails

How to get quick party nails!

This is one of the easiest and quickest nail-arts I've ever done.

1- Apply two coats of black nail polish.

2- Take a golden nail art pen and make big dots as shown above.

3- Give it a layer of transparent nail polish after it dries, for shine and protection.

Nail Art Tutorial : Converse Nails

                                CONVERSE LOVE

1- Start with applying a base coat of white nail-paint. Cover the tips with cello tape as shown in the first picture. And paint the rest of the area in your favorite color/colors.
Remember, before sticking cello tape, your white coat should be completely dry!

2- Take a black nail-art pen or a thin brush dipped in black nail paint and draw the lines as shown in the second picture. Let it dry.

3- Then slowly remove all the cello tape. Once the cello tape is removed, your tips become sticky and may attract dust particles. Hence, it is very important to apply transparent nail polish soon after that.

4- Finally, take a white nail art pen or a thin brush dipped in white nail paint and draw crossed shoe-laces as shown in the last picture. Give another top coat of transparent nail polish if required (optional).

There you have funky converse nails. You can also experiment with glitter instead of plain colors.

Nail Art Tutorial : Matte Nails

I've been trying to know how to do this for a very long time and finally now that I've found it - I must share it!
Things you'll need -
  • Color Nailpaint
  • Plastic sheet
  • Cornflour
  • Medium -sized paint brush
Instructions -

  • Place a plastic sheet on a flat surface.
  • Pour out about 4-5 drops of your nailpaint (Use dark shades - they give a better effect - preferably black)
  • Immediately sprinkle cornflour upon the puddle of nailpaint on the plastic sheet
  • Using your paintbrush, mix the two quickly before the nailpaint dries out.
  • Using the same brush, apply the mixture to your nails just like any other nailpaint
  • Wait for it to dry. You will feel like its just like normal nailpaint, I did too, but wait for about 5 minutes and see the effect :)
It is exactly like this picture - I took it from google

Nail Art Tutorial : Watermelon Nails

My sister did these for me

  1. Apply a coat of red nail enamel. (A double coat would be better if yours is a light shade)
  2. Draw a diagonal line with white nail enamel below the half-nail line.
  3. Shade the bottom part of the white line with the same white nail enamel.
  4. Leaving a little part of the white, take a dark green nail enamel and apply as shown in the picture.
  5. With a black nail art pen, make the seeds in the red region.
  6. Cover this with a coat of transparent nail paint to secure and protect your nails.
  7. Wait for this to dry and you're done! :)
Enjoy the watermelon season with these watermelon nails :')

Nail Art Tutorial : French tips with a twist.

French tips with a twist.

Easy and picture perfect nails.

1- We all know how to do French tips. Stick a cello tape on your nails in such a way that the tips are uncovered. Paint them in red or any bright color of your choice. Once it dries, take off the tape. Or if you are good at the art, you can do that directly with a brush.

2- Use a white nail art pen or toothpick to create almost similar tiny dots on the painted area.

3- To add a feminine touch, use a black nail art pen or an eye liner to make ribbons as shown above.

4- Cover it with transparent nail paint. It will not only protect your design, but will also give a shine to the nude portion of your nails. There you have, nails pretty as ever!

Nail Art Tutorial : Sensuous cheetah print talons

Sensuous cheetah print talons!

There are many other cheetah print designs available, but this one sure is the hottest! May seem complicated, but truly is easy. You just need to get the right shades.

1- Apply a base coat of rich ceramic-gold color.

2- Make undefined shapes or crooked circles with a black nail art pen or eye liner.

3- Fill them in with a sparkly copper shade. Add another coat of it, if required.

4- To make it more defined, outline once again with the black nail art pen and leave a few random marks here and there. Remember, animal prints are never uniform.

5- Lastly, add a top coat. You get the sexy party nails, which go with almost all attires.

If the nail paints used are of a good company, these designs can last for more than a week. Though its unhealthy for the nails to be covered in chemicals for more than 4 days. They need time to breathe and rejuvenate naturally.

Nail Art Tutorial : Cute Cow Nails

Cute Cow Nails

These nails aren't only cute, but also easy to make.

1- Paint all your nails white nail lacquer. Add a double coat with the same color.

2- Take a light pink nail polish and with one stroke draw the cow's mouth on the thumb. Add another coat if required. This one has to be neat.

3- Use a black nail art pen, or may be even nail polish (if you can handle the brush well) and draw random patterns as shown above. Same should be used for making the eyes and the nostrils of the cow (if you don't have a nail art pen, then use a toothpick instead)

4- Once it all dries, add a top coat, and done. I could complete this nail-art in mere 15 minutes.
